As Teacher of Spanish, you will deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across the relevant key stages, supporting pupils of varying abilities to achieve their full potential. You will maintain high standards of teaching, learning and behaviour whilst contributing positively to the wider life of the school.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Teaching Spanish across the relevant key stages
  • Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
  • Assessing, monitoring and reporting on pupil progress
  • Preparing pupils for examinations where appropriate
  • Maintaining excellent classroom management and behaviour standards
  • Supporting the wider aims and ethos of the Modern Foreign Languages Department
  • Attending parents’ evenings, school events and departmental meetings
  • Promoting safeguarding, wellbeing and pastoral support for all pupils

The ideal candidate should:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge in Spanish
  • The ability to inspire and motivate young people
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A collaborative and positive approach to working with colleagues
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

Experience teaching GCSE Spanish and the ability to teach an additional language would be advantageous.

As SENDCo, you will lead, develop and manage the school’s SEND provision, ensuring pupils with additional needs receive effective support and appropriate interventions to enable them to achieve their full potential. You will work closely with staff, parents and external professionals to promote an inclusive learning environment and ensure the school meets all statutory SEND obligations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing the school’s SEND provision in line with the SEND Code of Practice and statutory requirements
  • Identifying, assessing and monitoring pupils with SEND, including those with EHCPs
  • Coordinating appropriate interventions, support plans and provision mapping
  • Liaising effectively with parents, staff, local authorities and external agencies
  • Maintaining accurate SEND records and overseeing annual reviews
  • Supporting teachers with strategies to promote inclusive teaching and learning
  • Delivering targeted intervention teaching in English and Mathematics where required
  • Monitoring pupil progress and evaluating the effectiveness of SEND provision
  • Contributing positively to safeguarding, pastoral care and the wider life of the school

The ideal candidate should:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience of leading or coordinating SEND provision within a school setting
  • Strong knowledge of current SEND legislation, EHCP processes and effective intervention strategies
  • Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • A compassionate, professional and child-centred approach
  • The ability to work collaboratively with staff, pupils, parents and external professionals
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

Experience delivering literacy and numeracy interventions and the ability to teach English would be advantageous.
