Domestic Cleaning Assistant

We are looking for a dependable Domestic Cleaning Assistant to join our team to maintain the cleanliness of our school to the highest of standards. You should be highly organised, able to multitask, and have a keen eye for detail.

The role entails duties assigned by the supervisor including daily cleaning of our schools providing “Deep Cleans” during the vacation periods, as well as provision of lunchtime serving and supervision.

About the Role and You

As our Domestic Cleaning Assistant, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Performing daily cleaning tasks with precision and efficiency, including, vacuuming, kitchen sanitisation, mopping, sweeping, and deep cleaning.
  • Maintaining inventory and reporting supply needs to the supervisor.
  • Ensuing all rubbish is removed on a daily basis and recycled where possible.
  • Clearing up after school events.

  • Has previous housekeeping/ cleaning experience.
  • Has exceptional attention to detail, ensuring no corner is left untouched.
  • Has a good level of physical fitness, including the ability to lift and carry equipment.
  • Is reliable with strong work ethic.

Contract Type: Part-Time, Term Time Only

Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 4 hours per day (Typically between 6:30am – 8:45am & 4.45pm – 6.30pm, routes and times may vary)

Salary: £10.42 per hour

Lucton is a co-educational independent day and boarding school for children aged 6 months to 18 years old. We are seeking experienced drivers to provide minibus services to our school.

Requirements

  • You will provide a safe and timely bus service for pupils travelling to and from school.
  • You will be responsible for undertaking daily routine vehicle checks and maintenance as well as vehicle cleaning.
  • The ideal candidate must have a clean driving licence or no more than 3 points on their license and no convictions for driving.
  • Candidates will also need a clean D1 driving licence.

  • A minimum of a BHS Stage 2 or equivalent, or ideally BHS Stage 3 or Level 3 in Equine Management, or equal yard experience.
  • The ability to use their initiative.
  • Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
  • The ability to work well as part of a team and individually.

We are also looking for someone who is:

  • A competent rider
  • Able to handle a variety of horses in a safe manner

Desirable Skills:

  • Can lunge
  • Can bandage
  • Can clip/trim/pull
  • Able to diagnose simple ailments, eg abscesses, colic, laminitis
