As our Computer Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging and challenging lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, fostering curiosity, computational thinking, and a passion for technology. You will contribute to the continued development of the Computer Science curriculum and support students in achieving excellent academic outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging Computer Science and ICT lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
  • Teaching both theoretical and practical aspects of Computer Science and ICT to GCSE and A Level/BTEC standard where appropriate.
  • Preparing students effectively for examinations, coursework, controlled assessments, and programming projects.
  • Delivering lessons covering programming, cybersecurity, databases, networks, digital systems, and IT applications.
  • Assessing, monitoring, and reporting on student progress in line with school policies.
  • Differentiating teaching to support students of varying abilities and learning needs.
  • Maintaining high standards of behaviour, engagement, and academic achievement.
  • Ensuring the safe and effective use of IT equipment, software, and online platforms.
  • Supporting curriculum development, enrichment activities, coding clubs, and departmental initiatives.
  • Contributing positively to the wider life of the school and extracurricular programme.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A relevant degree and teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Computer Science and/or ICT across secondary key stages.
  • The ability to teach GCSE and ideally A Level Computer Science.
  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for emerging technologies.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A creative, proactive, and collaborative approach to teaching and learning.

About the Role and You

Contract: Full-time, Permanent (All Year Round)

Hours: 5 days per week, 7:30am – 4:30pm

Salary: £ 12.71 per hour

As a Maintenance Assistant, you will support the upkeep, safety and presentation of the school’s buildings and grounds. This is a hands-on role requiring a proactive approach and the ability to respond effectively to a variety of maintenance needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out general maintenance, repairs and basic DIY tasks across the school site
  • Supporting the upkeep of school buildings, classrooms, boarding areas and outdoor spaces
  • Assisting with health and safety checks to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Setting up rooms for school events, examinations and activities
  • Responding promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies
  • Supporting site security, including opening and locking of premises where required
  • Assisting with grounds maintenance and general site cleanliness

About You : We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience in a maintenance, facilities or similar role (desirable)
  • Possesses good practical skills across a range of maintenance tasks
  • Is reliable, hardworking and takes pride in their work
  • Has a proactive and flexible approach to tasks
  • Can work both independently and as part of a team
  • Has a good understanding of health and safety practices
  • Is able to communicate effectively with staff and contractors
