Head of Early Years & Reception

Lucton School has a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Early Years practitioner.

The Head of Early Years & Reception will lead the Nursery and Reception, as well as playing a key role in the running of Lucton School, which is set in beautiful grounds in rural Herefordshire and is currently in an exciting phase of its development under new management.

We deliver the EYFS curriculum, incorporating learning in an indoor/outdoor environment, where fresh air and exposure to the wider world are as important as classroom-based activities. The successful candidate will be a qualified teacher, with QTS and experience of working with the EYFS curriculum, as well as a willingness to contribute to the ongoing growth and development of Lucton School in a senior role.

Nursery Assistant 

Due to our ever-growing numbers at Lucton Nursery we are looking for a qualified Nursery Assistant (Level 2/3) to start as soon as possible.

The successful candidate must be inspiring, enthusiastic and flexible with a love of working with children. You must have a sound knowledge of working with the EYFS and previous experience of working with children under 3, including babies, completing Learning Journals, planning around interests and working with Targeted Plans.

Lucton School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to an Enhanced DBS and other appropriate checks.
