Nursery Admissions

Lucton Nursery welcomes children from all backgrounds, between the ages of six months and four years old. We offer fixed sessions, Monday to Friday between 08.30 and 5pm, with the addition to book additional early care 8-8.30am and later care 5-6pm. Details of session times and prices can be found in our Nursery Registration forms.

Lucton Nursery holds termly Open Mornings, or you can book a private tour throughout the year, Monday to Friday, by contacting our admissions team. The Nursery operates a waiting list, so to avoid disappointment we advise registering in good time. To check availability or to make an enquiry please complete the form below.

Once a place has been registered, we offer two non-obligatory taster sessions for children to settle into the nursery setting, between 9am and 12 pm.

Frequently Asked Questions

What time does nursery open?

We open between 8-6pm every weekday, however sessions can be booked on a morning, afternoon, or full-day basis.

Between 08.00-08.30 and 5-6pm, we run our early and late care which is charged extra, subject to availability.

Can I arrange to look around?

We encourage all families to look around both our nursery and the school, to see first hand our facilities, meet the staff and the students. What is included in the fee?

Session fees cover the cost of staffing, equipment and activities. If a lunch session is booked, or your child is in for a full day, then lunch and dessert is provided.

Do children wear uniform?

Babies and toddlers can come to the nursery in any comfortable, active clothes, suitable for the weather.

In the year before a child joins reception, they will move into our Transition class. In this class, children wear the Lucton school uniform which comprises black trousers, white polo shirt*, and red jumper* for the boys; black pinafore dress*, white polo shirt*, and a red cardigan* for the girls. They also all have a red coat*, red bag*, outdoor clothes for forest school and wellington boots.

Do I need to pack anything else?

Babies will need to be provided with their own nappies, creams and wipes, which will be stored in their own basket within the nursery. They should also come with any food, in a suitable container to warm through.

Spare clothing is recommended for all children in nursery.
