Why board at Lucton?

At Lucton, we offer a unique and transformative boarding school experience. Our boarding community has a distinct family atmosphere, providing students with a home away from home. We offer a real family feel, with students from around the world living together and supporting each other, building lifelong friendships. The exposure to new perspectives and ways of life inspires a culture of mutual respect, tolerance, acceptance, and openness.

Students can progress in interpersonal and social skills through the vast social and extracurricular activities offered at Lucton. There are a range of trips and activities organised every weekend, from something simple like shopping or a cinema trip, to something bigger like go-karting or a visit to the safari park. The organisation of trips, activities, and regular social events reinforces the social growth of boarders, allowing them to increase in confidence and responsibility, whilst also having fun alongside their fellow boarders.

Academic and extracurricular excellence is unrivalled for our boarding students at Lucton. Boarders have full range of the sports fields, tennis courts and the sports hall in the evenings and on weekends, whilst older boarders can also use the gym if they wish. Additionally, they can use the music practice rooms, as well as the art room. Boarders also benefit from increased access to teaching staff, whilst having 24/7 access to the Houseparents who are always on hand to provide any help or support. The combination of invaluable pastoral and academic support builds a strong work ethic and unparalleled academic growth which prepares students for life beyond boarding school.

Our students leave our school well-equipped to succeed in the world and make a positive impact on their communities. Book your visit today and discover the benefits of boarding at Lucton School!
