On Wednesday 15th February, Pre-School up to Year 6 took part in sign language workshops throughout the day. Children were taught how to communicate with people using simple gestures, and also taught how to sign feelings.
Each group practiced a song which they performed to everyone else in a sharing assembly at the end of the day. The children were surprised to hear that sign language is actually classed as a language just like English, Spanish and French. It was a fun and enjoyable day, and each child learnt something new.
