Meet the Team

 

David Bicker-Caarten, Headmaster (DSL)

David joined Lucton in January 2011 as the first Head of Lucton Prep School, having relocated from 8 years in the Persian Gulf where he was a Head of Year 5, and Headmaster of Seashell School in Oman. David has an MBA in Education (Leicester University) as well as a PGCE and a degree in Economic History from UEA. Coming to teaching via being an Activities Instructor in an Adventure Centre and a teacher in Turkey for 3 months, David had a previous career in journalism and spent 3 years managing a ski shop in sunny Guildford.

 

Kari Quant, Assistant Head (Pastoral & Operations)

Kari joined Lucton in 2021 as the Head of Admissions. Kari completed her teacher training in Further Education, after graduating with a degree from Loughborough University. Having worked in education for a decade, she relocated to Shropshire to become the Director of Summer Courses at Concord College, before moving to Lucton School.

 

Michael Wolstenholme, Assistant Head (Academic)

Michael was previously the Head of Sixth Form at Lucton and teaches both Economics and History. He can also be found on the sports pitches coaching Lucton football teams. Michael gained a first-class honours degree in History from Royal Holloway before completing an MA in Crusader Studies, a TSEOL qualification from Trinity College, London and gaining his PGCE from Roehampton. Prior to joining Lucton Michael has had quite the international educational experience. Having grown up in Brunei, Michael taught in leading international schools in the UK, Tanzania, and Costa Rica.
