Record numbers attend Sixth Form Scholarship and Taster Day
Not only are the current numbers in Lucton's Sixth Form a record, but further growth for September looks assured with the record attendance at the scholarship day by local candidates for day places this September. Most of the anticipated boarding spaces that will be coming available this summer have also been filled and at the moment it looks very probable that all the spaces will be filled before we break up at the end of the summer term.

Excellent A Level results -
55% A* & A grades!

Lucton’s Year 13 students are celebrating the excellent A-level results they have received this year. A massive 55% of all A levels taken at Lucton achieved A* or A grades. This is an excellent set of results of which many highly selective sixth forms would be proud. 60% of this year’s Lucton leavers are now destined for Russell Group universities. Further statistics in the results are equally impressive, with 76% A* to B and 85% A* to C grades. Moreover, it is worth adding that the vast majority of the A-levels taken in the Lucton Sixth Form are in the traditional, academically demanding, subjects favoured by world-class universities. This aspirational spirit was particularly exemplified by Head Boy Yang Xi, whose six A levels included three A*s in chemistry, maths and further maths and Laurence Thompson’s A* in maths and further As in physics and chemistry. Other notable performances were recorded by Dhiluni Kandage (3 As and 2 Bs) and Lauren Wiseman-Jones (2 As and a B).

7s Rugby County Champions
The U15 team certainly recovered from narrowly losing out in the 15-a-side finals to record an exceptional win in this year's 7s finals. Before beating Bishops in the final, they had excellent wins over Cathedral School, Kingstone and John Kyrle.

New Head of Prep School
From January 2011, David Bicker-Caarten joined the staff at Lucton Prep School. He has already created an excellent impression and we look forward to seeing him continue to grow the numbers in the Prep School.

91% 5 A* to C GCSE results!
Solid A Level results and particularly good set of GCSE results capped a great year in Lucton's academic development. An equally remarkable statistic is that well over two thirds of all exams taken were awarded B or above, with 71% A* to B grades and of all exams taken, 37% achieved A* and A grades. Almost every statistic about these results is impressive!
