Excellent A Level results -
55% A* and A grades!

Lucton’s Year 13 students are celebrating the excellent A-level results they have received this year. A massive 55% of all A levels taken at Lucton achieved A* or A grades. This is an excellent set of results of which many highly selective sixth forms would be proud.
Further statistics in the results are equally impressive, with 76% A* to B and 85% A* to C grades. Moreover, it is worth adding that the vast majority of the A-levels taken in the Lucton Sixth Form are in the traditional, academically demanding, subjects favoured by world-class universities. This aspirational spirit was particularly exemplified by Head Boy Yang Xi, whose six A levels included three A*s in chemistry, maths and further maths and Laurence Thompson’s A* in maths and further As in physics and chemistry. Other notable performances were recorded by Dhiluni Kandage (3 As and 2 Bs) and Lauren Wiseman-Jones (2 As and a B).

U15 Rugby 7s Champions
The U15 team certainly recovered from narrowly losing out in the 15-a-side finals
to record an exceptional win in this year's 7s finals. Before beating Bishops in the finals, they had excellent wins over Cathedral School, Kingstone and John Kyrle.

August 2010
91% 5 A* to C GCSE results!
Solid A Level results and particularly good set of GCSE results capped a great year in Lucton's academic development. An equally remarkable statistic is that well over two thirds of all exams taken were awarded B or above, with 71% A* to B grades and of all exams taken, 37% achieved A* and A grades. Almost every statistic about these results is impressive!

The school meets all of the standards and is outstanding in the promotion of equality and diversity. The leadership and management of the school is good and offers effective support to boarders and boarding house staff."

100% pass & over 50% A* and A in latest English GCSE at Lucton. Lucton’s Headmistress, Mrs Gill Thorne, is delighted with the GCSE results from the November examinations. The top set in Lucton’s Year 11 took GCSE English early with over half the set gaining A or A* grades. A* grades were awarded to Lily Argent, Alex Athanasiou, Jenny Burgess, Ruby Plant-Milne and Lucy White; A grades were awarded to Chris Blenkharn and Kieran Dunn. In addition two pupils took their GCSE Mathematics early - Lily Argent gained an A* and Jenny Schulz an A grade. Module results for GCSE mathematics were also published for both pupils in Year 10 and Year 11. Again a large number of pupils in both Year 10 and Year 11 scored highly.
